We take real care is sourcing the best of local and international drinks to complement our relaxed atmosphere. Choose from an exciting range of tapped and bottled beers from all over the world. These include a number of locally brewed ales and Somerset ciders. The imaginative wine list is also well chosen and reasonably priced, thanks to our fantastic vintner Charles Steevenson
If you are looking for something a bit different our after dinner drinks list offers some great dessert wines as well as Plum Sake and Limoncello. Sounds a bit quirky but it all adds to the experience and the chance to try something new.
Our ideals are based on using the best of local produce available and this is not only true of the food but also the drinks. Moor Brewery is a small and little known company based 15 minutes from us but it produces some award winning beers that have taken the industry by storm. Their beers range from a sedate session beer called Revival 3.8% right up to their JJJ IPA which is a half at a time 9%. Since we introduced this brewery the customers have become fans and enjoy the natural and chemical free big flavours. Another brewery we use is Otter who are based just over the border in Devon and again have reached critical acclaim with their beers. Their range is great and goes from light summer beers like Otter Bright which is brewed with lager hops and onto more malty darker beers such as Otter Ale. Also regulars that fearture are Butcombe, Thatcher's Cheddar Valley & Symonds Cider and a wide range of premium lagers to suit every taste.
To complement our range of beers and ciders we have brought in an experienced vintner who sources some of the freshest and best tasting wines from around the world. All of our wines are realistically priced and wide range is offered in by the glass measures. For that special occassion we have all the bubbles and fine wine to suit every palate. Our range of spirits is extensive with a great selection of malt whiskeys and some immaginative after dinner drinks to round off an evening.
